Pairing: Combine with butter and honey for a honey-strawberry butter spread
Strawberry Dutch Baby with Whipped Mascarpone
3 large eggs, room temp
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup flour, sifted
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
½ tsp kosher salt
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1/3 cup Dalmatia Strawberry Spread
Whipped Mascarpone, recipe below
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a blender or food processor add the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, lemon zest, vanilla, and salt. Blend well until all ingredients are combined (about 30 seconds). The batter will be thin.
Heat an oven-proof skillet to med-high heat. Add the butter and swirl around, coating the pan while the butter melts. Once the butter is melted and bubbling, carefully add the batter to the skillet. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the dutch baby is puffed and lightly brown around the edges. Serve with Dalmatia Strawberry Spread and whipped mascarpone, top with powdered sugar.
¼ cup mascarpone
¼ cup heavy cream
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
In the bowl of an electric mixer combine mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla. Whisk on high until fluffy and smooth.
